Rihanna Becomes Youngest Artist To Score 10 No. 1 Hits

Rihanna’s oversexed hit “S&M” topped the Billboard Hot 100 this week — and helped the Barbadian-born pop star set a number of records in the process.

At the ripe old age of 23, the islander born Robyn Fenty has became the youngest artist to collect ten No. 1 singles. The achievement also marks the shortest span between an solo artist’s first No. 1 single to the tenth, with a stretch of 4 years, 11 months and 2 weeks. She beat out Mariah Carey by two years. According to Billboard, the bombshell from Barbados trails only The Beatles and Diana Ross’ The Supremes for the title of fastest artist to accumuate 10 No. 1s.

“10th!!!!!Now LOOK at what u did,” the stoked star wrote on her Twitter account. “THANK U so much, this is the BEST news!U guys #werk hard #whosyadaddy.”

“S&M” is the third single off of Loud, Rihanna’s fifth album and is her third consecutive song to take the No. 1 spot after “Only Girl” and “What’s My Name?”

How many of RiRi’s No. 1s can you name without looking? Let’s start with the one that started it all. “SOS” became Ri’s first No. 1 single when it rocketed to the top of the charts in 2006.
