Papa John’s Royal Wedding Pizza

Royal Wedding Pizza

The whole world will be watching when Prince William and Kate Middleton walk down the aisle on April 29, and right now their loyal subjects can’t get enough of all the tacky souvenirs on offer to mark the big day. The market has been flooded with trading stamps, collectors’ coins, and even a jelly bean that looks like Kate Middleton.

Now the pizza makers at Papa John’s are cashing in on royal wedding fever. Just take a look at The Wills & Kate Commemorative Pie. Company brass commissioned a food artist in the UK to create a unique mosaic pizza portrait of the prince and his bride-to-be in celebration of their upcoming wedding at London’s Westminster Abbey. Kate’s veil is made from mushrooms and her dress from cheese, while William’s morning suit consists of salami and peppers.

“Royal Wedding fever is sweeping the world so we couldn’t resist having some fun and creating our very own pizza portrait of Kate and William to celebrate their forthcoming marriage. Like our original crust pizza, our royal portrait is made from 100 percent fresh dough and quality ingredients, so it tastes as good as it looks,” says Andrew Varga, Chief Marketing Officer for Papa John’s.
